Sir. Salisbury Augt. 6th. 1786—

I take the Liberty to introduce to you the Bearer Mr. John Walker, a Relation of mine. He is a young Gentleman of Character, & is desirous of adventuring in the back Country after Land, & particularly about the Tenassee or about the Bent—or perhaps somewhere in that Country where you may be able to give him some necessary Information—


If you will be so good as to assist him with your Opinions on his Business, & such Directions as will be of Service to him I will thank you & remain dear Sir yr. obt. Servant
